Before rehearsal
- Bring your instrument, music, and a pencil.
- Check your assigned passages and mark questions.
- Review bowings, fingerings, and rhythms from the previous rehearsal.
- Be ready to listen, watch the conductor, and adjust to the ensemble.
Practice between rehearsals
Choose a specific goal, work on a short passage, and finish by connecting it to the surrounding music. Ask your director for help selecting a track that matches your current needs.
